Where to Order Mountains Made of Glass

Our pre-order for Mountains Made of Glass is LIVEEEEE! We also have a release date of March 7, 2023!

Right now this novella (about 53k) is available ONLY as an ebook with the exception of a few limited paperbacks that will be available at Book Bonanza and ApollyCon. I do not have any details on how obtaining one will work at the moment but we will update you as the info comes to us.

I do not have any confirmation on if this book will be in audio format and I do not have any confirmed foreign rights deals.

Mountains can be read as a stand-alone, however, there will be seven total novellas in this fairy tale retelling and they will intertwine. Don’t ask me how they will intertwine yet. I haven’t written them yet. LMAO.

I will be going live later today to answer the vast amount of questions I received this week, but I just want to say…thank you all.

Not everyone gets to write what they want, especially in the traditional world. It is truly a gift to be able to write whatever I want and know my readers will give it a chance. I say this all the time, but you will never know the depth of my gratitude.

All my love,

Scarlett

MMOG Q&A

What series is Mountains Made of Glass part of?

Mountains Made of Glass (MMOG) is not part of any series I have written yet. We are simply calling it Fairy Tale Retelling #1). There will be seven books in total about the seven brothers you will meet in the book.

How long is MMOG?

This book is considered a novella. It came in around 53k which will likely translate to around 200 pages. There are 22 chapters.

How can I get a physical copy of MMOG?

Limited hardbacks will be available at Book Bonanza and ApollyCon. I do not have any information on how the copies will be sold but we will update you via the newsletter and socials once we know something.

Will there be an audiobook?

I do not have information on audio rights at the moment, but we will keep you updated via the newsletter and socials.

Will MMOG be translated into my language?

I do not have any information on foreign rights at the moment, but we will keep you updated via the newsletter and socials.

Will it be available through KU?

Not upon publication. It could eventually go into KU, but we will let you know via the newsletter and socials if and when it is enrolled.

Will the illustrations be included in all versions?

Yes, they will be in all the ebooks and the limited printed versions.

Who designed the amazing cover?

Regina Wamba!

How can I get prints of Casamir and Gesela?

Through the amazing Lauren Boyle’s Etsy here.

What fairy tale is MMOG based off of?

All of them? Probably ones you have read and ones you’ve never read. I’ve seen some already drawing the comparison to Beauty and the Beast and my suggestion is to not go into this book expecting that particular retelling. I think you’ll see parallels of course, but that was actually not even a fairy tale I had in mind while writing this novella.

The more fairy tales you read, the more you discover just how similar they all are.

This is a world I have created based on various retellings by the Grimm Brothers, Hans Christian Andersen, and a few Irish fairy tales. It is not a retelling of any particular story, rather a “new story” with details from a variety of dark tales.

When you have finished, I suggest reading the author’s note which will give you insight into the stories I drew inspiration from and you might have a better understanding of how I think and adapt stories.

Will you have a signing when this book is released?

No. There are no physical books to sign, so I will not tour as part of this release. If you are curious about what events I am attending or updates on those, you can find information on my website and on my instagram.

What about Gods and Chaos?

MMOG was written during December while I was on tour. It was technically supposed to be a time when I took a real ‘break’ but whatever. MMOG’s release is not changing anything about Gods or Chaos. As I have said, I will not release a date for Gods until later, though I do wish to release it before Chaos which will release on September 26th.
